Our Semiannual Report to Congress

Like clockwork they arrive: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then the SARC.

The SARC?! Yes, we submit our Semiannual Report to Congress, or SARC, in the late fall and spring each year. This SARC outlines our work and activities for the six-month period of April 1 through September 30, 2018, and serves as one way we fulfill our mission of ensuring efficiency, accountability, and integrity in the U.S. Postal Service.

Still Blogging After All These Years

A decade ago, we blogged for the first time – an introduction to who we are and what we do. Our Pushing the Envelope blog was our first launch into social media space. We designed it to engage stakeholders about our work, and about the broader issues affecting the U.S. Postal Service.

 

Getting to the Core With Data Analytics

No matter the industry, it’s always better to address the root cause of a problem than put a Band-Aid on the symptom.

We find data analytics — which includes data mining, risk assessments, and predictive analytics — lets us find the most effective ways to detect fraud, waste, and mismanagement at the U.S. Postal Service. Data analytics allows us to synthesize data in ways that get to the very core of a problem or inefficiency, so we can then identify possible solutions.
